DIPLOMA UNITS 4, 5 and 6

For continuing students who are moving on to the Units 4-6, Study Guides will be in stock by the first week of January 2011, however, the following books remain highly recommended sources when used in conjunction with your Specifications Guide so that you may begin preparing:

Unit 4 Spirits: Distilling Knowledge: A Professional Guide to Spirits and Liqueurs, David Broom (included in your Unit 4 Study Package).

Unit 5 Sparkling Wines: The World Encyclopedia of Champagne & Sparkling Wines, Tom Stevenson; Champagne for Dummies, Ed McCarthy

Unit 6 Fortified Wines: Port and the Douro, Richard Mayson; Sherry, Julian Jeffs

The Winter 2011 Units 4-6 Courses takes place on  Saturdays:

Unit 4 is on 3 Saturdays in February: the 5th, 12th, and 19th. The course runs each Saturday from 9:30 to 4 pm. The cost of the course is $800. The home study option is $450.

 

Unit 5 is on 2 Saturdays: March 26th and April 2nd. The course runs each Saturday from 9:30 to 4 pm. The cost of the course is $600. The home study option is $425.

 

 

Unit 6 is on 2 Saturdays: April 23rd and 30th. The course runs each Saturday from 9:30 to 4 pm. The cost of the course is $600. The home study option is $425.

 

The Units 4, 5 and 6 Exams will take place on June 6th.

 

 

If you choose to register for all three Units together, we offer an overall discount of $100. The cost of registering for all three Courses together is $1,900, instead of the $2,000 it would be if paid separately.
