Neptune Wine Cellar Dinner at Bello

Wednesday, June 14th at 6:00pm

Featuring 1996 and 1997 Italian Greats plus a special dessert wine!

This event promises to be epic. The 1997 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino is “Extremely aromatic; structured and racy” and the great Altesino leads off this incredible tasting and dinner. The 1997 Barolo vintage is “superripe, opulent and flamboyant” and Gianni Voerzio is a superstar of the La Serra Cru.

The 1996 vintage in the Langhe gave us “Textbook Barolo and Barbaresco; structured, fruity, racy reds; and we have the king of the Rabaja Cru, Giuseppe Cortese. Next up is the monopole of Paolo Scavino, Bric del Fiasc, which, along with nearby Cannubi, shares both soil types of Barolo.

To end, I went deep into the cellar and pulled out a French dessert wine – 1949 (no typo!) Domaine Cazes Rivesault.
