For individuals seeking to delve deeper into the world of wines, this qualification provides a detailed understanding of grape growing and winemaking. Upon completion you will be able to assess wines accurately, and use your understanding to confidently explain wine style and quality.Upon successful completion you will receive a WSET certificate and lapel pin, and will be able to use the associated WSET certified logo.

The Advanced Certificate is a unitized course, covering wines of the world in considerable depth, and students are required to prove competency in theory and tasting. The examination for the Advanced Certificate is in 2 parts: a theory exam of 50 multiple choice questions and 4 short-answer questions, plus a tasting examination consisting of a blind tasting of 2 wines. The In-Person Level 3 Certification costs $1450 for the teaching and all course materials. There is a flat $150 discount passed onto students who have taken the level 2 program from me. 10% booking discounts if you enroll with at least one other person.​

Level 3 Online Course Pricing​

The Level 3 certification costs $1130 for the teaching, books, and exam. Wines are additional. The wine list will be emailed to you and a way to easily source them.

All classes are held on zoom and recordings are available in case you miss a class.
Level 3 Online Study Support Program
Wine Smarties offers an online program to support your WSET Level 3 studies (the global pass rate for the theory portion of this exam is 57%.) It includes how to build your study guide, (including chart downloads), how to answer exam-style questions, as well as practice questions. It is a unique support program as it teaches you HOW to approach your studies in addition to exam-style questions with guided answers to practice.

Costs $180 or $140 for Wine Smarties Level 3 students (past or present). Upon enrollment you will receive login instructions and you will be able to access the entire program and move at your own pace.
